About Us

     PADMASHREE KRUTARTHA ACHARYA INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, founded in the year 1991 as a registered society under the Society Registration Act 1860 by some eminent personalities including social workers, educationalists, and industrialists from the locality with an objective of “Removal of Economic Backwardness through Technology”. With this mission, one Diploma Engineering Institution was started in 1991 namely, PADMASHREE KRUTARTHA ACHARYA INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY. To fulfill the need of the young talents of the locality as well as the neighboring states the Management initiated their effort to set up one Engineering College in the year 2002 namely, PADMASHREE KRUTARTHA ACHARYA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, received AICTE approval in the same year and got affiliation from BPUT and Govt. of Odisha.
      The Institute is situated on NH-6 in a 35-acre lush green environment. The Institute is well connected to every corner of the nation by rail and road. It is a half-hour drive from the main town of Bargarh which is surrounded by industries like HINDALCO, MCL, IB Thermal, ACC Cement, Jindal Steel, Ordnance Factory, Ultratech Cement, Bhusan Steel, Sps Steel, Sterlite, Vedanta, Aditya Alumina, TATA Steel, OHPC and many small and medium scale industries. Known as the “Rice Bowl” of Orissa, Bargarh is famous for the cultivation of Rice and Sambalpuri Handloom. Asia’s largest earth dam “Hirakud” is only 40 Km’s Away from the
town.
